Confluence

Curatorial Note

Confluence is envisioned as a simple dream - a collaborative auction between the experienced feature artist Anuragk Gupta and budding young artists, Anshu, Bhaumik, Divyanshu, Geeta, Neetu, Riya and Khushi, and Sarthak. The result of this confluence is an eclectic and unique catalogue - from realistic paintings that draw you in to ponder our interactions with nature, to abstract works that lead you through your own inner reflections, to the works of spiritual figures, elements in nature and delicate forms, each stroke made in the artwork speaks of the intent to express, boldly, courageously, in art - no matter the age of the artist.

The catalogue is irreverent of structure in its selection - there is no commonality observed in the media, typo logy, or appearances of the artworks that form the auction catalogue. This in itself is the power of a confluence - it seeks to imbibe, include, and inform - that art in itself can be limitless, and this auction, above all, remains reverent only to the underlining social intent that is at the heart of the collaborating organisations - an encouragement for you to grow your art and to nurture growth for all through art.

Art here is not presented as an object to be consumed, but as a field of attention in which the viewer also becomes a participant.

The charity dimension of the auction extends this participation into the social realm. Each acquisition contributes to educational and humanitarian initiatives, linking aesthetic experience with social responsibility. The collector therefore does not simply purchase an artwork, but becomes part of a continuing cultural relationship.

Confluence therefore functions simultaneously as exhibition, dialogue and collective gesture - where art mediates between personal reflection and shared care.
